The mayor of Abbotsford sent his sincere thanks to Pacific Blasting & Demolition Ltd. for the emergency repairs the company made to the City's main water supply after a rock slide at Norrish Creek.

According to Mayor Bruce Banman, "It is truly an achievement that the work was completed within seven weeks. The efforts by all involved are a testimony for what can be achieved when the community is in need. Your willingness to set aside other pending work commitments, your staff's unselfish efforts to work long hours, offering up long weekends and providing that extra level of care and dedication, ensured that the residents of Abbotsford and Mission experienced minimal inconvenience and an uninterrupted water source."
