We are pleased to announce that on August 10th, NorLand acquired the Quebec-based drilling supply company ML Air Inc. Founded in 1966, ML Air is a third-generation Leclaire family enterprise that distributes drilling and blasting tools. As the longest serving Sandvik dealer in Eastern Canada, it has a long and distinguished legacy in the drilling industry, and its company ethos and culture are well aligned with NorLand's Shared Purpose and Values.

ML Air (2018), will be run as a stand-alone business, but will work closely with the other NorLand Industrial Product Businesses. All existing ML Air employees have agreed to continue on through this transition, providing a great depth of experience, dedication, and technical knowledge that will ensure continuity and stability in the years ahead.

As part of this transition, Stephane Lavoie has been appointed the new ML Air General Manager. Stephane is currently the Sales Manager, Eastern Canada for Pinnacle Drilling Products (PDP) and will also retain that role going forward. Both Stephane and Simon Bennett, VP/GM of PDP, played pivotal roles in building the relationship with the Leclaires - Chantale, Christiane and Gilles - all of whom will be integral to ML Air's future.

This transaction is a great example of what can be done when our business subject matter experts team together with our corporate M&A team to execute on our strategy of growing a broad winning network of highly specialized construction-related businesses.
